In 1991, the Arizona Ski council (“ASC”), was formed to promote skiing and friendship among clubs, safety on the slopes and general education of the skiing community while experiencing camaraderie of fellow skiers and adventurers.
ASC is a local chapter of the Far West Ski Association (“FWSA”). FWSA is a non-profit organization, and it is the largest ski association in the western United States. FWSA is comprised of ten active councils which represent more than 50,000 skiers and boarders in more than 150 clubs in twelve states — Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
As a result of ASC’s membership in the FWSA, individual club members who are part of ASC, enjoy substantial group discounts and numerous other advantages offered by and through FWSA.
Clubs who participate in ASC are the Phoenix Ski Club and the Scottsdale Sea and Ski Club. These clubs are not limited to activities in the United States but all over the world. Follow the individual links connected to each Club below and open a vast world of opportunity that should meet any and all expectations.

We have posted the history of the Arizona Ski Council
Another fantastic Pub Crawl. The Arizona Ski Council sponsored the Prescott Pub Crawl with the Scottsdale Sea & Ski Club and was joined with the Phoenix Ski Club. What a fabulous party weekend.
We took over the Whiskey Row bars on Friday and Saturday night. We had between 50 and 60 pub crawlers. Our presence was known. I can tell you that we danced our feet off. You should have been there.
On Saturday afternoon, many of us went to the Granite Creek vineyards for a little wine tasting and a great band. It was awesome to taste wine and dance, under the trees.
What a trip. Don’t be left behind next year.
